Boarding Requirements

Because keeping our furry guests healthy is prime concern, all pups must be current on the following mandatory immunizations:
DHPP (distemper/parvo)-within current year
Bordetella (kennel cough)-within current year
Rabies - current within 1st year puppies/within 3 years adult
Flea/Tick treatment is recommended from April through October.
we can provide this for a nominal charge of $10 per dog.

You can bring a copy of your pet's health record with your at check-in, mail it beforehand, or have your veterinarian mail it to us.

A first time registration form detailing important information about your dog(s) is also required along with our Authorization and Release form.

You can fill these forms our at time of check-in but we strongly recommend you get them to us prior to your reservation. For your convenience you can do them on-line or mail them.

Holiday Hound House DOES NOT provide food for our boarders. We believe in keeping animals on their own diets to avoid any "upset tummies". So please bring enough food (and a little extra) packaged and labeled with their names on it for the length of the visit. You can also bring your own treats but we do provide, at no additional cost, two all natural treats per day. Bedding and toys can also be brought. However, we are not responsible for loss or damage to them. We try to ensure that you go home with everything you came with, but things occasionally get misplaced, broken or even chewed up.

If you choose to have your buddy join group play we will evaluate their personality for sociability and place them with appropriate dogs. The sizes of the groups remain small so we can easily monitor behavior. But any time dogs play together there is the possibility of injury from rough play or combative behavior. We take every precaution to prevent injury, but scratches, bites and other trauma may occur, as may the transmission of parasites such as worms. Similar risks occur any time that your dog is around other animals. It is advisable to ensure that your dog is on a deworming protocol with your veterinarian. Just like human children in daycare, risks of upper respiratory infections can occur while at dog parks, on the sidewalk or at Holiday Hound House.

If your pet requires special or out-of-the-ordinary care due to health, age or personality issues, please advise us prior to booking your reservation. We will make every effort to accommodate your request or need. However, Holiday Hound House has the right to refuse boarding to any person/pet based on our discretion if we feel boarding will be detrimental to the animal, other boarders or our staff. In some cases, clearance from your vet may be required. Under most circumstances our small size and extra attention allows for us to go above and beyond the norm especially for older, shy or health challenged pets. But on occasion we may recommend pet sitting services.
